Monitors Internet Services and alerts the user with a variety of methods if down. Always know whether or not your web site or other network services are up or down with 32bit Service Monitor. 32bit Service Monitor will check your site or other services as often as you have it configured to. If one of your services stops responding, you will be notified in the ways you have configured and the down time will be logged. If you pay a firm to host your site or service, you should be able to get at least a partial refund from your site hosting company if any serious down time occurs. Save money with 32bit Service Monitor! If one of your Internet Services goes down, you will be alerted by any or all of these many alarms. Select Alerts include: [Error Sound], [Plays your choice of WAV files (once or repeatedly)], [Show Alert Message box], [Send Email at Beginning of Alert], [Send Email at Ending of Alert], [Page you, Phone you], [Execute a Program]. You can use the 32bit Service Monitor [Execute Program] option to fix the problem in many cases. If your site or service does go down and then come back up without you knowing about it, 32bit Service Monitor will send you emails documenting the events date and time from down to up again.

A tool that can monitor all 32bit services and methods, including a web site that is resident on a Server, and alerts you when something goes wrong.
Pros: This is a tool that is able to monitor all 32bit network services that are running on a Server constantly. It alerts the user in case any of the services goes down. This alerting can occur in a number of ways: there can be a sound alert, an alert email can be generated (and this is done both at the beginning and at the end of the alert event, this is useful because in case the Service comes back up there will still be a record of the fact that it had gone down), the program can page the user, an alert message can appear on the users computer, or it can trigger the execution of a program that the user has specified for that purpose (say to recover from the current problem). It also logs as and when the services go down and this can be used for future reference. The tool can be configured to check at specific intervals to bolster its default behavior. Essentially, it is most useful for monitoring the up / down time of web sites (it would monitor the web server).
Cons: The look and feel is much like that of a class project software offering (i.e. poor). The interface has a lot of options. Perhaps it has all of the options. But in the way that it has been designed it is hard to find exactly what you need. Some terminology will also be hard to understand, and the help is not going to help you much. All in all, most users will probably want to look for a better tool to do the same thing.
Overall: 3 stars. 4 stars also possible. It works pretty well but the problem is the limitation of the interface. It is hard to get around to using it successfully.
